Street demon carb hesitation

They tout how they are pre-adjusted and calibrated. They even say to not touch the mixture. Well, it starts, runs, idles, and accelerates off idle nicely. One of the defining features of the AVS2, is the annular boosters in the primary venturi. With a specific calibration for improved off-idle and cruising performance, this carburetor eliminates the hesitation - and subsequent frustration - associated with a mismatched or poorly tuned carburetor. On my old Demon carb'd engine, I ran 17 degrees initial plus 18 mechanical for a total of 35 degrees. Pull the throttle linkage all the way open and you should see two streams of raw fuel. As compression ratio increases to 10+, I would increase the vacuum point that the primaries go rich to 6-7".
